The size of this oblong , slim, bottle shaped pear ranges from small to medium. Its goldbrownish colour evolves to light yellowish shades at ripeness. Its white flesh becomes yellowish as the fruit ripens. The taste is very fine, sweet and juicy.

Ø     Qualities

The Doyenné is a thick fruit with a short stalk. Its skin has a yellow-greenish background covered with some brown-redish tones. The flesh is white. This extremely juicy pear has a very sweet taste.  All of these qualities make it the “Queen of the Pears”.

 At its picking this pear has a rough, darkgreen skin with redbrownish tones, which evolve towards warm goldish shades at ripening. The flesh is white and has a typical taste.
